Data Deletion

You can delete your Words Duel account and all data associated with it at any time. There's no charge and no automated form yet — we'll process requests by email.

What gets deleted

• Your account record (display name, hashed PIN, OAuth identifier from Google/Facebook, email, avatar URL).
• All of your gameplay records — duel results (wins, losses, ties) and Word of the Day plays.
• Any active sessions and cookies on this site.

Deletion is permanent. Once your data is removed, it cannot be restored.

How to request deletion

Email jamesclaypatton@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include either:

• The email address you used to sign in with Google or Facebook, or
• The username you signed up with

We'll confirm receipt within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. You'll get a confirmation email once it's done.

If you signed in with Facebook or Google

Removing the app from your Facebook or Google account does not automatically delete data we've already stored. To fully remove your data from Words Duel you also need to send the email above.

To revoke the app's access from the provider side:

• Facebook: facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites
• Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
